Care & Repair East Cambridgeshire Ltd is a non-profit making organisation, which helps people living in East Cambridgeshire, who are elderly, less able, or on low income to stay in their own homes in safety and security.

Funding for the organisation comes from Statutory Authorities and Charitable Donations.
We visit people in their own homes to discuss the options open to them and where needed we arrange repairs and adaptations.

Professionals, Relations, Carers and Friends may also contact us if the person concerned has given their permission

Problems may range from small repairs to total renovations, to adapting someone's home to suit their needs if they are less able. We also have a handy person service.
The emphasis is always based on the clients needs.

The Agency will organise applications for financial help for the building costs and fees, where clients are eligible. Most jobs carried out by the Agency receive financial support.

Charges
There is no charge for advice.
The Agency charges fees if building works are organised, but any
such charges will be agreed with the client before work commences.
If the client is paying the cost is usually 5% of building costs.
The handy person charges £10 an hour plus materials.
