People over the age of 60 and those who are disabled can use this service. It is to provide a service by a handy person you can trust at an affordable price.

Type of Jobs

These are job’s that take less than ½ day and are suitable for the skills of our handy person and the equipment we have available. If you contact, Karen, our administrator for this service, she can advise you if your request is suitable.

Small Repairs to windows and doors and other small joinery works

Small wooden ramps

Fitting grab rails and hand rails

Fitting shelves and bathroom cabinets

Repairs to curtain and shower rails

Leaking taps, dripping overflows

Fitting key safes, door locks

The type of jobs we have done to date are: -
Waiting Times

This can vary depending on the volume of work but there is usually a delay of 6-8weeks for less urgent jobs.

Jobs are prioritised and we try to carry out urgent jobs as soon as possible. These are jobs where there is a risk to the client. Consequently less urgent jobs may wait longer.

If you are able to make other arrangement to complete less urgent work, please let us know, so the service can help those with out an alternative source of help.

Cost of Work

The cost is £10.00 per hour for labour.

If you are able to provide the materials for example if you want some shelves put up or some tiles fixed, this would be helpful. If the handy person purchases the materials, then we shall pass this charge on to you.
